When's Registration for Story Hours & Creative Programs?!
Spring: February 1st* @9AM
Summer: June 1st* @ 9AM
Fall: October 1st* @ 9AM
*In cases when the 1st falls on a Sunday, registration will open Monday the 2nd.
Note: Information is released around the 15th of the previous month. Keep an eye out online or in the library for more info about upcoming classes.
Youth Programming
Memorial Day Parade
School-age kids, teens, and parents can march with the Menomonee Falls Library to promote our summer activities with a banner and flyers.
Kids under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
Participants should wear a colorful t-shirt to go with the hats and leis we will provide.
Each parent must provide a phone number where they could be immediately reached during the parade if necessary.
Exact time & assembly location will be provided at a later date. Parents are responsible for picking up their children after the parade at Neu’s Hardware in the River Court shopping center, where each will receive a treat for participating.
Please sign up by May 25 in person in the Youth Library or by calling the Youth Reference desk at 532-8915.

Now find all your favorite library programming for children in one place! From story hours to reading programs to arts and crafts, there's something here for everybody. You can stop by the library to pick up a copy in print, too. See you @ MFPL!

Youth Library Information
The Menomonee Falls Public Library offers a wealth of materials of interest to young children and their parents.
- A Parent Resource collection focuses on activity ideas, parenting skills and special concerns, such as stranger awareness, potty training, coping with difficult family situations, and developing an interest in books and reading.
- Book cassette kits offer a meaningful book-sharing / listening experience.
- A variety of children’s magazines, such as Ladybug, Your Big Backyard, and Sesame Street offers stories, activity ideas, and bits of information of interest to young children.
- The family video collection includes both DVD and VHS, and offers adaptations of quality children’s books, musical presentations, safety education tapes, and Reading Rainbow and Between the Lions episodes, informational tapes on topics and people of interest, as well as popular family films.
- Listening fun is available, in both story and song, in audiocassette and compact disc collections.
- Preschool story hours offer a fun opportunity to share stories, songs, and finger plays.
- Booklists on special topics, such as resources for young children on a new baby in the family, going to the doctor or hospital, and the challenge of a first school experience may also be available.
- A teacher resource collection offers a wealth of activity ideas for parents, teachers, and caregivers. It includes magazines featuring information on topics of interest and activity ideas, such as Mailbox and Early Childhood Today.
